Happy New Year !

Happy New Year Craft Hubbers. We enjoyed a wonderful 'Twinkling Firs Fair' with an exceptional standard of handcrafted goods. I ( Hannah ) left with a gorgeous shaker-style biscuit barrel and a festive mince pie soap, delicious cupcakes form the talented 'Kiss and Bake up' stall, plus lots of presents for family. Our raffle raised lots of money for our 2011 charity 'Force' cancer care, in fact over £400 over the course of the year. We ended the year on a high, with a fantastic Crafty Swaps party. Lots of happy guests with armfuls of swaps. We have another one planned for March 2012.

The New Year brings us the promise of more inspired crafty ideas, new collaborations and a continued friendship with all of the fabulous people that have made the Craft Hub all the richer for their love, support & expertise.

' Make & Take' kids club at 'The Hub on the Green', is in full flow, with printmaking coming up next week, celebrating the Chinese New year of the Dragon. ( See our special 'Make & Take' blog)

Our first 'Craft Jam' of the year was at our wonderfully friendly, regular venue 'The Citygate pub.' We taught over Twenty ladies to crochet and everyone seemed to go away with a small piece of finished work & a grasp of the most transportable of crafts. ( I am rarely without a 4mm hook & a ball of yarn in my handbag)

We are taking applications for the Spring Craft fair 'Birdsong & Blossom' if you are interested, please go to www.thecrafthub.co.uk and click on the application form page.

Love & luck to all.
