Cr'After Dark for May 2011, was a Crafty homage to the humble corsage. However, humble, they were not. Newbies and regular to Cr'After Dark came along armed with gorgeous fabrics (from their stash) buttons, beads, voile, tulle, and bags of creativity. We chose three different fabric Corsages ranging from Easy (peony) to Hard (Dahlia) to teach them on the night. After a lot of chatter, laughter and a wonderful sense of adventure, our Crafty bunch had finished their gorgeous work. The night was just wonderful, and we even managed to see some free entertainment in the form of some Morris Ladies who came to do a free 'gig' in the pub beer garden. All in all we had a wonderful evening. Keep checking the blog as we will try and post a picture tutorial on how to make the peony and the rosette. Here are some of the brilliant and diverse creations made on the night -

I spent all of last wednesday trying to get my mitts on this fabulous new Craft Magazine Mollie Makes. It took a while but success was on my side and i eventually tracked it down in Exeter City Centre, and boy was it worth it! It is a refreshing, light and breezy blast of Crafty loveliness on every page. Wonderful pictures, there is a fantastic article about Dottie Angel a blogging Crafter from the US who makes the most beautiful handsewn and crochet things with a vintage twist. Mollie Makes have a fabulous website to go with their mag at http://www.molliemakes.com/ and if you are quick they are doing a subscription offer £5 for three issues. I just had to! Naughty me x
