Small Crochet Heart Pattern - February 2012

1-Using magic circle method make a loop & Ch 5 then SS to make circle.

2-Dc 10 into centre of circle.

3-Dc 5 in to 1st stitch.

4-Dc 1 in to each of the next 3 stitches.

5-Tc 3 in to next stitch to form point of heart.

6-Dc 1 in to each of the next 3 stitches.

7-Dc 5 in to last stitch.

8-SS next stitch to create dip of heart.

If you wish to create an outer layer….

9-Dc 1 in to 1st stitch.

10-Dc 2 into next stitch.

11-Dc 2 into next stitch.

12-Dc 1 in to each of next 4 stitches.

13-Dc 2 in next stitch in point of heart.

14-Dc 1 in to each of next 4 stitches.

15-Dc 2 into next stitch.

16-Dc 2 into next stitch.

17-Dc 1 in to 1st stitch.

Key :-

CH = Chain

DC = Double Crochet

TC = Treble Crochet

SS = Slip Stitch

It must be our very first crafty social Cr'After' Dark int pub. What a great evening. Considering I only promoted the evening through word of mouth and emails. It was really well attended. Gina Alton, a whirlwind of creative inspiration, taught 8 budding new crochet experts, the secrets of her talents. I brought along two projects to do on the night and am embaressed to say that I did one row of eight stitches on a shawl and the first round of a hexie. Oh dear, too much fun chatting and watching the others concentrating soooo hard on their stitches. Next Crafter Dark will be on tuesday the 24th of August, watch this space for the workshop on the night.
